Recap: Erie Tigers vs. Legacy Lightning
The Erie Tigers won the last time they faced the Legacy Lightning, and things went their way on Friday too. Erie enjoyed a cozy 51-37 win over Legacy. Given Erie's advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 27th, while Legacy is ranked 150th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Erie to victory, but perhaps none more so than Maddie Hartel, who scored 17 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabel Adorno, who scored 13 points along with four steals.
Erie's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Legacy, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Erie will take on Poudre at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Legacy, they will be playing at home against Broomfield at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Broomfield focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Thursday.
