Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pine Forest). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Gulf Breeze Dolphins 49-10. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 34-5.

Pine Forest was led to victory by Chrisshona Bargaineer and Cha?Miya Bivins-Goldsmiths. Bargaineer went 8 for 10 on her way to 17 points, while Bivins-Goldsmiths dropped a double-double on 11 points and 15 boards. The dominant performance also gave Bargaineer a new career-high in assists (four). Chamyah McDole was another key player, putting up eight points.

Pine Forest's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Gulf Breeze, they dropped their record down to 1-12 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Pine Forest and Gulf Breeze could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. Pine Forest (ranked 244th) will meet West Florida (ranked 75th) at 6:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025. Similarly, Gulf Breeze (ranked 448th) will meet Washburn (ranked 163rd) at 4:00 p.m. on December 27th.
