Basketball Game Preview: St. Johns Redskins vs. Valley Pirates

The St. Johns Redskins will face off against the Valley Pirates at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

St. Johns took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 77-25 victory over Greyhills Academy. That 52 point margin sets a new team best for the Redskins this season.

Meanwhile, Valley had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 58-40 win over the Bruins.

St. Johns' victory bumped their record up to 9-12. As for Valley, the win got them back to even at 10-10.
