Baseball Recap: Wayne Takes a Loss

Wayne lost against Springboro back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Warriors took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers.

Wayne saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Corbin, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Wayne's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Springboro, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-7.

Coming up, Springboro will head out on the road to face off against Chaminade Julienne Catholic at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Panthers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Wayne will be paying especially close attention to Springboro's contest: after Springboro faces off against Chaminade Julienne Catholic, they'll take on Wayne again at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
