Baseball Recap: Weaver Comes Up Short

Weaver was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 12-2 to the Ashville Bulldogs. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Bearcats couldn't push the score so high this time.

Carson Campbell was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he launched this season.

Weaver's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Ashville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Weaver Bearcats face off against Faith Christian Lions at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Faith Christian will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Weaver surely won't give up without a fight. As for Ashville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Geraldine at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
