Charlestown has gone 8-2 against North Harrison recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Pirates are taking a road trip to challenge the Cougars at 5:30 p.m. Charlestown is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.7 runs per game this season.

Charlestown couldn't beat New Albany on Saturday even though they stacked five runs on them in the first inning. The Pirates fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 7-6. It was the first time this season that the Pirates let down their fans at home.

Connor Buck was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched 5.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Charlestown saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cooper Lynch, who went 3-for-4 with one run.

Meanwhile, North Harrison waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Generals 12-1. That 11 run margin sets a new team best for the Cougars this season.

Charlestown suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 8-2. As for North Harrison, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Charlestown came out on top in a nail-biter against North Harrison when the teams last played back in May of 2024, sneaking past 5-3. Do the Pirates have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cougars turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
