Basketball Game Preview: Chippewa Falls Cardinals vs. Hudson Raiders

Chippewa Falls is 0-10 against Hudson since January of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Chippewa Falls Cardinals will be playing at home against the Hudson Raiders at 7:15 p.m.

Chippewa Falls is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Friday. They were beaten by Eau Claire Memorial 93-32. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 380th, while the Old Abes are ranked 21st).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hudson). They breezed by Eau Claire North to the tune of 78-51 on Friday. The Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 20 points or more this season.

Hudson has also been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points per game. As for Chippewa Falls, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-14.
