Franklin is 9-1 against Coronado since December of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Franklin Cougars will challenge the Coronado Thunderbirds at 7:30 p.m. Franklin has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.

On Tuesday, Franklin beat Pebble Hills 60-48.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Coronado's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 51-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Eastlake.

Franklin's victory bumped their record up to 16-13. As for Coronado, their loss dropped their record down to 19-9.

Franklin beat Coronado 57-49 in their previous meeting back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Franklin since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
