Softball Recap: Encinal Comes Up Short

Encinal extended their losing streak to five on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 7-17 in the process. They came up short against the Castro Valley Trojans, falling 15-5. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, with their most recent defeat being a 12-6 loss two weeks ago.

Jazzy Alcantar was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

As for Castro Valley, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-3. Considering they have won 12 contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

On Castro Valley's side, they got a massive performance out of Giselle De Casas, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that De Casas has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Alicya Robertson, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one double.

As of now, neither Encinal nor Castro Valley have any future games scheduled.
