Softball Recap: Taft Eagles vs. Lane Tech Champions
Taft hadn't done well against Lane Tech recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Eagles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the Champions. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Eagles have posted since April 24th.
Michaela Power spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.
