Recap: Fowler Grizzlies vs. Dolores Huerta Prep Scorpions
The Fowler Grizzlies entered their tilt with the Dolores Huerta Prep Scorpions with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Fowler took their game on the road on Saturday with ease, bagging a 40-0 victory over Dolores Huerta Prep. Considering Fowler has won three contests by more than 27 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Fowler got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Cael True out in front who rushed for 110 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries, and also picked up 52 receiving yards. Fowler also got a significant boost from Trever Ketner, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 91 yards.
Fowler's victory was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 5-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 35.3 points per game. As for Dolores Huerta Prep, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.
Fowler will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Mancos at 6:00 p.m. on November 3rd. One thing working in Mancos' favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last four matches. Dolores Huerta Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
