Basketball Game Preview: South Stokes Sauras vs. East Wilkes Cardinals

South Stokes is 2-8 against East Wilkes since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The South Stokes Sauras will be playing in front of their home fans against the East Wilkes Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with South Stokes sitting on three straight victories and East Wilkes on four.

Last Friday, South Stokes strolled past Elkin with points to spare, taking the game 54-35.

Meanwhile, East Wilkes posted their biggest win since January 17th on Monday. They blew past Alleghany 44-22.

South Stokes' victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-10. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points over those games. As for East Wilkes, their win bumped their record up to 11-12.

South Stokes was able to grind out a solid victory over East Wilkes when the teams last played back in January, winning 49-37. Will South Stokes repeat their success, or does East Wilkes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
