Soccer Recap: Research Triangle Comes Up Short

Research Triangle lost to Voyager Academy back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The - came up short against the Vikings, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, Research Triangle can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 333rd, while Voyager Academy are ranked 111th).

This is the second loss in a row for Research Triangle and nudges their season record down to 3-6. As for Voyager Academy, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.

Research Triangle has already played their next matchup, a 10-1 defeat against Franklin Academy on the 9th. As for Voyager Academy, they will take on Neuse Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
