Recap: Lamar Thunder vs. Custer County Bobcats
The Lamar Thunder posted their biggest win yet this season on Thursday. They really took it to Custer County for the full four quarters, racking up a 55-18 win at home. With Lamar ahead 33-9 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Lamar found their leader in underclassman Gabrian Jacobs, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jacobs has scored all season. Austin Thacker was another key contributor, scoring four points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Lamar pushed their record up to 10-3 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Custer County, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lamar will play host again and welcome St. Mary's, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Custer County, they will be playing at home against Cotopaxi at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Cotopaxi has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
