Tranquillity took a six-run loss the last time they faced off against Avenal, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Tigers won by a run and slipped past the Buccaneers 4-3. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Tigers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Tranquillity secured the victory behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Gabriel Lopez, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI. That run marked the first that Lopez has scored this season. Oscar Contreras was another, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-12. As for Avenal, they are on a 16-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-16.
