Football Recap: Morgan County Takes a Loss

Morgan County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 20-12 to the Iroquois Raiders.

Morgan County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Iroquois, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Morgan County will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Breathitt County at 7:30 p.m. on October 10. The matchup will give the Cougars their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Iroquois, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Dayton at 7:00 p.m. The Raiders will be up against the Greendevils' rather soft defense (which has allowed 39.8 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
