Recap: Stephens County Indians vs. Hart County Bulldogs
The Stephens County Indians put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 35-0 victory over Hart County. The result was nothing new for Stephens County, who have now won seven matchups by 25 points or more so far this season.
Javin Gordon was his usual excellent self, rushing for 98 yards, while also catching a touchdown. Davon Swinton made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Stephens County's victory was their fifth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 8-0. As for Hart County, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stephens County will take on Oconee County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Oconee County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 138th, while Stephens County is ranked 26th). As for Hart County, they will be playing at home against Hebron Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hebron Christian Academy is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
