Basketball Recap: Canton's Run of Five Straight Wins Now Over

Canton suffered their closest loss since November 22nd on Saturday. They fell just short of the Winnsboro Raiders by a score of 49-46. The Eagles lost against the Raiders in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 63-26 score last time.

Canton will venture away from home to square off against Brownsboro at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Brownsboro's defense has only allowed 27.9 points per game this season, so Canton's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Winnsboro, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 75-22 win against Prairiland on the 10th.
