Basketball Recap: Escondido Takes a Loss

Escondido was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They had to suffer through an 87-41 loss at the hands of the Ramona Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 66-58 back in January.

When it comes to explaining why Escondido lost, don't look at Nathan James. Despite the final result, he posted 11 points. Another player making a difference was Danny Valadez, who put up eight points.

Escondido's defeat dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Ramona, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-14.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Escondido will host High Tech NC at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ramona, they will head out on the road to face off against Olympian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Olympian has won five straight at home, while Ramona won six straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
