Baseball Game Preview: Menendez Falcons vs. Covenant School of Jacksonville Warriors

The Menendez Falcons will face off against the Covenant School of Jacksonville Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Menendez has three straight wins, Covenant School of Jacksonville has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

While Menendez's victory against Matanzas wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Menendez came out on top in a nail-biter against Matanzas on Tuesday, sneaking past 4-2.

Menendez saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lucas Drake, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Covenant School of Jacksonville didn't have quite enough to beat Christ's Church Academy on Monday and fell 7-6.

Menendez pushed their record up to 7-10 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Covenant School of Jacksonville, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-8.

Menendez skirted past Covenant School of Jacksonville 3-2 in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Does Menendez have another victory up their sleeve, or will Covenant School of Jacksonville turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
