            Baseball Recap: San Luis Sidewinders vs. Mesquite Wildcats        
        
		
        
        
            San Luis came into their game  on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost  16-1 to the Mesquite Wildcats. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  loss the Sidewinders have suffered  since April 20, 2024.
San Luis got a good showing from  Caleb Perez, who   tossed three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. That's the fewest  hits  Perez has allowed since back in March of 2024.
 At the plate, San Luis saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Zaid Cardenas, who  went 2-for-3 with one  RBI.
San Luis has also been struggling recently as they've  lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record  this season. The  victory was  the third in a row for Mesquite, bringing their record for this year to 7-2.
 San Luis has already played their next game,  a  3-2  win against Gilbert on the 11th. As for Mesquite, they will take on Perry in a tournament  on Wednesday.
