Basketball Game Preview: Payne Tech Lions vs. Hackensack Comets

The Payne Tech Lions will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against the Hackensack Comets at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Payne Tech is headed into their home opener looking to turn things around after starting their season on the road. They took a 59-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Arts on Thursday.

Payne Tech's loss dropped their record down to 0-1.

As for Hackensack, they've got a clean slate this season. Last year, they finished on the wrong side of .500 (11-16), but they'll be hoping to turn things around this year.

Payne Tech didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Hackensack in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 56-50 victory. Will Payne Tech repeat their success, or does Hackensack have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
