Basketball Game Preview: Columbiana Clippers vs. East Palestine Bulldogs

Columbiana has gone 10-0 against East Palestine recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Columbiana Clippers will head out to challenge the East Palestine Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Columbiana is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.8 points per game this season.

Columbiana is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against South Range on Saturday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Columbiana came up short against South Range, falling 72-52. The Clippers haven't had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Columbiana might have lost, but man, Seth Struharik was a machine: he posted 24 points. The contest was Struharik's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Luca Cagliuso was another key player, putting up ten points and five assists.

Meanwhile, East Palestine waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They took down the Golden Eagles 42-26.

East Palestine's win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 7-5. As for Columbiana, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-2.

Columbiana took their victory against East Palestine when the teams last played back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 52-27. The rematch might be a little tougher for Columbiana since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
