The Spain Park Jaguars scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past John Carroll Catholic 54-5 at home. The victory was familiar territory for Spain Park who now have five in a row.
Spain Park's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nylah Calhoun led the charge by scoring 11 points along with five steals. Another player making a difference was Zyian Heyligar, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Spain Park pushed their record up to 6-13 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. As for John Carroll Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Spain Park will challenge Oak Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
