Sierra Vista had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They put the hurt on the Legacy Longhorns with a sharp 97-71 win on Thursday. The Mountain Lions' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Sierra Vista's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but EJ Dacuma led the charge by going 11-for-19 en route to 27 points along with six boards and three steals. That's the most points Dacuma has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Colton Knoll, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 13 rebounds.

Sierra Vista's victory was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 23-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.4 points over those games. As for Legacy, their defeat ended a ten-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 22-6.

Sierra Vista has already played their next game, a 66-60 win against Rancho on the 14th. As for Legacy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, an 88-79 loss against Clark on the 14th.
