The New Paltz Huguenots are on the road again on Saturday to play the Highland Huskies at 1:00 p.m. Both are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

New Paltz is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. Everything went their way against Liberty on Friday as New Paltz made off with a 33-8 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Huguenots as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

A big part of New Paltz's win came down to the chemistry between Nick Drewnowski and his top target Nicolas Horowitz. Drewnowski rushed for 118 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries while Horowitz rushed for 166 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries. Drewnowski also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making a tackle (1.0 for loss) and defending two passes.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, New Paltz was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 374 rushing yards. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 97.3 rushing yards per game earlier this season, but in their last three matches they've averaged 215.

Meanwhile, Highland entered their tilt with Fallsburg on Thursday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Their defense stepped up to hand the Comets a 21-0 shutout. The Huskies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by 21 points or more this season.

New Paltz's record is now 2-4. As for Highland, their record is now 5-1.
