Softball Game Preview: Morris County Tech Devils vs. Parsippany Redhawks

Morris County Tech is 0-4 against Parsippany since May of 2016 but things could change on Friday. The Devils will welcome the Redhawks at 3:45 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Madison hit Morris County Tech with a nine-run fifth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Devils lost 17-2 to the Dodgers.

Meanwhile, Parsippany scored the most runs they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They came up short against Madison, falling 17-11.

Olivia Freire and Charlotte Inauen did some serious damage despite the final result: Freire got on base in all five of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, five RBI, and two runs, while Inauen went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Freire also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Angelica Blair was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs.

Morris County Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Parsippany, their loss dropped their record down to 3-12-1.

Morris County Tech suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Parsippany in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Can the Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
