Volleyball Recap: Thayer Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Thayer challenged Salem on Thursday. The Bobcats fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 3-2. The Bobcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Thayer took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-16, 17-25, 25-17, 15-12.

This is the second loss in a row for Thayer and nudges their season record down to 6-10. As for Salem, their victory ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 3-14-1.

Looking ahead, Thayer will host Eminence at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Salem, they will challenge Bunker at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
