Jasper has gone a perfect 5-0 against Shepherd recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Pirates at 7:30 p.m. Jasper's offense hasn't had much luck over their past four contests, but Friday's matchup will give them a chance to turn things around.

Jasper lost 35-12 to Hamshire-Fannett on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 520th, while the Longhorns are ranked 197th).

Meanwhile, after soaring to 48 points the game before, Shepherd was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They were dealt a 42-6 defeat at the hands of West Orange-Stark. The contest marked the Pirates' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Jasper will have to contain Landen Dellinger as he made an impact in Shepherd's last game. He rushed for 108 yards and one TD. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 65 yards.

Jasper's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Shepherd, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.

Jasper strolled past Shepherd in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a score of 35-16. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Pirates' Preston Stephens, who rushed for 165 yards and a pair of scores.
