Basketball Preview: Mannford Pirates vs. Cleveland Tigers
The Mannford Pirates will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cleveland Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mannford will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
Mannford stacked a 13th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They breezed by Bristow at home to the tune of 65-38.
Cleveland was handed a 35-point defeat in their previous outing, but they didn't let that bad energy affect their game against the Demons on Tuesday. Cleveland came out on top in a nail-biter against the Demons and snuck past 49-47. The win was just what Cleveland needed coming off of a 55-20 loss in their prior game.
Mannford's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points per game. As for Cleveland, their victory bumped their record up to 6-11.
Everything came up roses for Mannford against the Tigers in their previous meeting back in January as the team secured a 68-41 victory. Does Mannford have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
