Larned scored the most points they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 61-53 to the Halstead Dragons. The Indians were probably out for revenge after losing 47-42 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Larned's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Halstead, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Larned will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Thomas More Prep-Marian at 7:00 p.m. on January 31st. After both having extra time off, Halstead and Abilene will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 7:30 p.m. on January 28th.
