Hamilton hasn't had much luck against Quincy recently, but that could start to change on Monday. Hamilton will venture away from home to square off against Quincy at 2:00 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Hamilton took a 11-run defeat the last time they faced off against Live Oak, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Hamilton sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Live Oak on Thursday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Braves as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Hamilton saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jordyn Rodgers, who scored a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Quincy won against Modoc on Saturday with seven runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Saturday. Quincy beat Modoc by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 7-6. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Trojans.

Jemma Trueblood made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 18 batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one RBI.

In other batting news, Brooke Blesse was excellent, going 1-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Those RBI were her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Addison Gay, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Hamilton's record now sits at 4-5. As for Quincy, their record now sits at 10-2.
