Basketball Recap: Tyler's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Tyler needed a changed in momentum after dropping four straight games and they got it from Katie Grimm. The Tyler Knights breezed by the Paden City Wildcats to the tune of 88-14 on Monday thanks in part to Grimm, who went 8 for 14 on her way to 22 points and six steals. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.5 steals per game.

The team also got some help courtesy of Jules Lattea, who posted eight points in addition to nine rebounds and eight steals. Those eight steals gave her a new career-high.

Tyler's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Paden City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tyler will head out to challenge St. Marys at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Paden City will take on Shenandoah in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on December 23rd.
