Softball Game Preview: Fort Bend Hightower Hurricanes vs. Jasper Bulldogs

The Fort Bend Hightower Hurricanes will face off against the Jasper Bulldogs at 10:15 a.m. on Friday. Fort Bend Hightower will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.

Fort Bend Hightower's tournament run continued when they took on Cleveland on Thursday. Fort Bend Hightower came out on top against Cleveland by a score of 4-1.

Fort Bend Hightower's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Trinity Yates, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI. That's the most RBI Yates has posted since back in April of 2024.

Fort Bend Hightower hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts every time they've taken the field this season.

Meanwhile, Jasper and Gatesville finished up their match with a 2-2 tie on Thursday.

Fort Bend Hightower's win bumped their record up to 5-0-2. Jasper's draw gives them a new season record of 2-2-2.
