Basketball Recap: Lodestar Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Lodestar had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They had to suffer through a 79-17 loss at the hands of Leadership. The Cobras were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 51-12.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Leadership to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sameer Malik, who posted 16 points. Another player making a difference was Michael Sacros, who scored 14 points.

Leadership has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Lodestar will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Golden State Prep at 6:00 p.m. on January 20, 2026. As for Leadership, they will square off against Kennedy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
