Baseball Recap: Langtree Charter Academy Comes Up Short

Langtree Charter Academy was the 9-4 winner over Gray Stone Day when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Langtree Charter Academy fell just short of Gray Stone Day by a score of 6-5 on Monday. That's two games in a row now that the Lions have lost by just one run.

Garrett Barbee was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

In other batting news, Tanner Lewis was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. Easton Roschke was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Langtree Charter Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-3 record this season. Gray Stone Day's record is now 5-6.
