Clinton is 3-0 against Cumberland Gap since January of 2024 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Clinton Dragons will head out to square off against the Cumberland Gap Panthers at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Clinton has three straight victories, Cumberland Gap has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Tuesday, Clinton took their contest with ease, bagging a 66-38 win over Union County. The Dragons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Cumberland Gap didn't have quite enough to beat Gibbs on Tuesday and fell 76-73. While the Panthers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Eagles 21-12 in the first quarter.

Clinton has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.8 points per game. As for Cumberland Gap, they now have a losing record at 10-11.

Everything came up roses for Clinton against Cumberland Gap in their previous meeting last Tuesday, as the squad secured a 71-31 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Clinton since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
