Baseball Recap: Ogilvie Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Ogilvie barely beat McGregor the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Lions were the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over the Mercuries on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won seven matchups by nine runs or more so far this season.

Ogilvie got a massive performance out of Kaden Felde, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Smith, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

The victory was the third in a row for Ogilvie, bringing their record up to 9-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for McGregor, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ogilvie will square off against Hinckley-Finlayson at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Jaguars have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed eight runs per game on average), something the Lions will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for McGregor, they will face off against Cromwell at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
