Softball Recap: Friday's Win Is Tuscarora's Tenth in Last 11 Outings

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Tuscarora had no problem doing just that on Friday. They skirted past the Warhill Lions 1-0. The Huskies' pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last four matchups.

Not much got past Peyton Travis, who gave up just three hits and racked up nine Ks to keep Warhill off the board. Travis has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Tuscarora saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chloe Wools, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Tuscarora has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Warhill, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-7.

As of now, neither Tuscarora nor the Lions have any future games scheduled.
