Recap: Horeb Christian Mustangs vs. Cushman Cougars
The Horeb Christian Mustangs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They opened the new year with a less-than-successful 56-44 defeat to Cushman.
Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Manny Cid, Jr., who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Gil, who scored 12 points.
Horeb Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Cushman, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Horeb Christian will take on Cristo Rey at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Cushman, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Jewish Culture at 5:00 p.m. Jewish Culture has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 220 points over their last three contests.
