Baseball Game Preview: Trona Tornadoes vs. Lone Pine Eagles

Trona is 1-9 against Lone Pine since May of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Tornadoes will be playing at home against the Eagles at 3:15 p.m. Trona has given up an average of 20.1 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Trona lost 16-9 to Non Varsity Opponent on Thursday.

Mason Kendall was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with five stolen bases and two runs. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.2 stolen bases per game. Another player making a difference was Jonah Meraz, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lone Pine). They put the hurt on Mojave with a sharp 18-1 win on Tuesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Eagles, who have now won three games in a row.

Lone Pine's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Trona, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7-1.
