Basketball Recap: Stephens County Takes a Loss

Stephens County lost against West-Oak back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Indians lost to the Warriors on the road by a 50-36 margin. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

West-Oak found their leader in sophomore Kinady Marcengill, who shot 63% from the field to rack up 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashton Sosby, who posted seven points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Stephens County's loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Looking ahead, Stephens County will take on Crescent at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for West-Oak, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Pickens at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
