With a playoff win on the line, Carondelet rose to the challenge on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Rancho Cotate as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory was nothing new for Carondelet as they're now sitting on five straight.

While Carondelet won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-18, 25-19.

Ava Van Peteghem paced Carondelet's offense, picking up 14 kills. Van Peteghem got some help from Isabella Vertudez and her 17 assists. Vertudez also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Eleanor Macomber, each putting up two.

Carondelet's win bumped their record up to 25-9. As for Rancho Cotate, their defeat ended a nine-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 24-7.

Coming up, Carondelet will face off against Foothill at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Rancho Cotate does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
