Basketball Recap: Asbury Park Comes Up Short

Asbury Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 86-53 loss at the hands of the Keyport Raiders. If the Bishops were looking for revenge after losing 78-33 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Asbury Park's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Keyport, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Asbury Park will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Central Jersey College Prep at 4:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Keyport also won't see the court for a while: their next matchup is against Steinert at 5:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
