Recap: Eastlake Falcons vs. Coronado Thunderbirds

The Eastlake Falcons waltzed into their matchup on Friday with four straight wins but they left with five. They secured a 37-32 W over Coronado. This was payback for Eastlake, who suffered a 65-34 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Eastlake's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Braeden Quigley, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and three steals. Mateo Lares was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with three steals.

Eastlake has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-11 record this season. As for Coronado, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-15.

Eastlake will be playing in front of their home fans against Americas at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Americas will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Coronado, they will head out on the road to challenge Pebble Hills at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pebble Hills presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Coronado in Texas (Pebble Hills is ranked 312th, while Coronado is ranked 822nd).
