Basketball Game Preview: Huntington Huntsmen vs. Westfall Mustangs

Huntington and Westfall are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2020, but not for long. The Huntington Huntsmen will be playing at home against the Westfall Mustangs at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Huntington is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.

Huntington is returning to their home court after beating River Valley on theirs, despite the fact River Valley has dominated at home this season. Huntington walked away with a 38-29 win over River Valley on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Westfall was able to grind out a solid victory over Wellston on Friday, taking the game 42-33. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Westfall's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-9. As for Huntington, they pushed their record up to 13-5 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Huntington skirted past Westfall 44-41 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Will Huntington repeat their success, or does Westfall have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
