Antelope comes up short despite Kenan Ragels' dominant performance

Recap: Antelope Rams vs. Anthem Prep Eagles

After a string of three wins, the Antelope Rams's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They lost to Anthem Prep on the road by a decisive 68-53 margin. If Antelope hoped to take revenge for the 66-41 defeat against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.

Despite the loss, Antelope still got an impressive performance from Kenan Ragels, who scored 28 points along with six assists and three steals. Ragels has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Alizay Figueroa was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds.

Anthem Prep's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brandt Schirm, who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Schirm, who scored 14 points.

Antelope's defeat dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Anthem Prep, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Antelope will challenge Salome at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Salome is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 51.8 points per game. As for Anthem Prep, they will head out on the road to challenge Mayer at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mayer will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 334th, while Anthem Prep is ranked 164th).
