Notre Dame was the 2-0 winner over Sam Houston when they last played one another back in October of 2016, but their luck changed this time around. The Pioneers fell just short of the Broncos by a score of 2-1 on Friday. The Pioneers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Notre Dame now has a losing record of 13-14. As for Sam Houston, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-8 record this season.

Coincidentally, Notre Dame and Sam Houston will both be playing St. Mary's Dominican the next time they take the court. The Broncos will head out to face St. Mary's Dominican at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Pioneers will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
