Soccer Game Preview: Crete-Monee vs. Bloom

Crete-Monee is 0-10 against Bloom since May of 2019 but things could change on Wednesday. The Warriors will be playing in front of their home fans against the Blazing Trojan at 4:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

If Bloom heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Crete-Monee took over last week. The Warriors came out on top against Momence by a score of 3-1 on Monday. Crete-Monee haven't had any issues with Momence recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Pauline Magnaye and Yanely Blas scored all three of Crete-Monee's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Meanwhile, Bloom came tearing into Monday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.3 goals), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 5-3 win over the Thunderbirds. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 26, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Bloom's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those three contests. As for Crete-Monee, their victory bumped their record up to 4-12.
