Softball Recap: Somerville Wins Going Away Against Snook

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mumford, Somerville was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the Snook Bluejays 12-6. The result was nothing new for the Yeguas, who have now won six contests by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Audrey Schoenburg, who scored three runs while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Aubrey Kovasovic, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Somerville moved to 8-9 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Snook, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9-1 record this season.

Somerville will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on North Zulch at 6:00 p.m. on March 21st. As for Snook, they will square off against Brazos at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday.
